Challenge:
How to create an engaging yet beautiful and functioning place of learning that is inclusive and considerate of how different students learn.
Solution:
Designing a classroom building with a nuanced understanding of how students learn, a safe and flexible space to accommodate different activities and foster creativity. adjustable partition walls, flexible furnitures and a creative use of colors and textures in the space provides both students and teachers with spaces to use the space for individual or group learnings, depending on student or the subject’s needs.
Opportunity:
End- to - End design process | User group meetings to identify needs and requirements | Research and identify each classroom topic’s space and equipment requirements | Develop multiple concept designs and present for stakeholders approval | Re-iterate and develop design in coordination with engineers and stakeholders
Role:
As the Project Leader at HMC Architects, I Managed stakeholders and user group meetings, oversaw design process and ensured compliancy with governments requirements and developed the concept design for final approval with engineering and contractor teams.
